As a young artist, I had the opportunity to meet Barthelemy Toguo, first virtually and later in person! This encounter proved to be a turning point in my journey. During our time at the Bandjoun Station gallery, he dedicated time to discuss my work and future aspirations. His advice was invaluable, pushing me to continue evolving in my artistic path.
Not only is he a renowned artist, but he is also an incredible mentor. His talent and dedication serve as a constant source of inspiration. Moreover, his generosity and support encourage me every single day. Thanks to him, I had the privilege of participating in my first group exhibition—an unforgettable experience. It allowed me to share my art and gain insightful feedback from the public.
5.2. A Personal and Committed Theme
In this exhibition, I chose to address a deeply personal topic : domestic violence! Although challenging, it’s essential to raise awareness. My work aimed to break the silence around this issue and spark collective reflection. It was a way to amplify the voices that are often ignored.
